Menurut data World Health Organization (WHO), hingga bulan oktober 2021 total kasus positif covid-19 sebanyak 219 juta jiwa, dengan total kasusu meninggal dunia sebanyak 4,55 juta jiwa.

MEDICAL SCHOOL

MALAHAYATI UNIVERSITY

Thesis, August 2022

Dea Tamara

The Relationship between Cycle Threshold Value (CT Value) and the Death Rate of Covid 19 Patients at the Pesawaran Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Lampung

ABSTRACT

Background: Every year, the number of sufferers of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has increased, both positive and death. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), until October 2021, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases was 219 million, with a total of 4.55 million deaths. pre-survey data at RSUD Pesawaran Lampung, from five respondents who were confirmed positive by the RT-PCR method accompanied by the translation of the CT value on the examination results, three respondents and two respondents were negative. It is not known for certain the relationship between the cycle threshold value (CT Value) and COVID-19 patients.

The purpose of the study: to determine the relationship between the Cycle Threshold Value (CT Value) and the mortality rate of Covid 19 patients at the Pesawaran Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Lampung.

Research Methods: This research is an analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique.

The conclusion of this study is that the majority of respondents are female as many as 41 people (68.3%) and the most respondents are 20-60 years old (adults) as many as 40 people (66.6%) and elderly >60 years as many as 20 people (20 %). The most signs and symptoms obtained from this study were uncomplicated disease as many as 41 people (53.2%) and the majority of patients experienced complaints 3-4 days before admission to the hospital. The most comorbidity was Diabetes Mellitus as many as 19 people (31.7%). Furthermore, it is known that the mortality rate from female sex is more as many as 18 respondents (72%), while the number from male sex is 7 respondents (28%). It can be seen that the Cycle Threshold Value (CT Value) at most is Ct < 29 as many as 37 respondents (61.7%), while the Ct value is between 30-37 as many as 23 respondents (38.3%), and there are no patients with a Ct value. between 38-40. close that the Asymp value. The signature (2-sided) was obtained at 0.012 < 0.050, so it can be said that it means that there is a correlation between the value and the Covid-19 death rate at the Pesawaran Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Lampung.

Keywords: CT Value, Mortality Rate, Covid-19
Dea Tamara Hak Cipta (c) 2022 PROSIDING https://repository.malahayati.ac.id/index.php/aritkel-dilanggan/article/view/1052 Tue, 22 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000
